Trying to kick your sugar or artificial sweetener habit?
If you like tea, I just might have the perfect thing for you: Market Spice Tea
While working for Gene Juarez Salons several years back, I quickly became addicted to this warm, delightful beverage that was available for the guests. A black tea with strong essences of cinnamon and orange, it tastes unlike any tea I have ever had. It is, in fact, the only tea I get excited to drink all by its naked self.
I even went out on a limb this last time and bought the decaf variety… no caffeine… no sweetener… all deliciousness! This is one beverage it just might be okay to be addicted to…
Get yourself a glass jar for storage as well – the oils in the tea don’t store well in the box once opened, so this will keep your bags fresher, longer.
- Heat your water (I find 12 oz is the perfect amount).
- Steep the tea bag in your hot water for 5 minutes – no more, no less.
- Remove the tea bag, and consume beverage.
Happy eating (and drinking)! Joey
Thanks so much for reminding me of Market Spice Tea. I’ve become “readdicted” to it!
Hey Steph! That’s awesome. It’s my favorite tea. We just went to Pike Place Market yesterday and picked up some more!
