Sleep Love Eat

{Hi Friends!}

Just over a year ago, I returned to the 9-5 work week and my weekends opened up for the first time in years. I rediscovered time for family, friends, and what seemed like a normal life once again. It has been great reconnecting, however, I also took a little detour from blogging. It’s quite wonderful to be back, and I hope you all are doing very well.

Curious as to what we’ve been up to since our last post?

Well, since you asked, Jake and I…

Crossed the Golden Gate Bridge…

Visited Napa for the first time (and certainly not the last)…

Tried espresso…

Celebrated our birthdays…

Experimented with new colors of nail polish…

Played with the nephews…

Played lots of tennis….

Also played some putt-putt…

Watched the sunset…

Attended a really, really awesome concert…

Hung out with the fam…

Hung out with these guys…

and visited Lake Chelan… 3 times…

Through it all, we’ve also still been eating great and trying out new recipes. We purchased a couple of new cookbooks awhile back and have been having lots of fun trying out some new flavor combos. I fully intend to share the deliciousness here, so please stay tuned!

If you’re in the mood, drop a comment here and let me know how you’re doing :)

Happy eating, Joey

So glad that you have been enjoying life! As it should be. So glad to have you back. It’s kind of weird, I was just thinking about your blog. Next week I will be sharing your Mexican Pecan recipe during a Paleo cooking class that I am teaching. That recipe is by far my favorite spiced nut recipe and I have tried many. You stand the test of time! Happy you are back!

  2. So happy you’re back, Joey! I keep checking for updates just in case ~ and here you are! I’ve missed your recipes and updates on how your food choices help you manage diabetes. I’ll look forward to your new creation!

    • Thank you so much Valarie! Nice to know we weren’t forgotten :) I have a new recipe scheduled for tomorrow, so stay tuned! (And yes, it’s diabetic-friendly!)
